Your display name, bio and email.

Upload a video

Click the blue cloud icon next to your profile picture, then choose Upload Video to send a video from your phone or computer. On a phone, tap the blue cloud in the middle of the bottom menu.

  1. Click the cloud icon, then Upload Video.
  2. Pick the Status first: Publish to post it as soon as it’s ready, or Pending review to keep it hidden until it’s reviewed.
  3. Drag your file into the box, or tap the box to pick it from your phone or computer.
  4. Wait for the upload bar to finish. Keep the page open until it’s done.
  5. Your video shows in the box with an Edit button. Click Edit (it opens in a new tab).
  6. On the Edit page, add a Title, the Video Credit (only if it’s someone else’s video), a description under Add Description, a thumbnail under Featured Image → Upload, one Video Category, and Video Tags with your county and city.
  7. Check Visibility in the Publish box (Publish, Unlist or Private), then click Update at the top.

Video credit

If you’re uploading a video that someone else filmed or posted, fill out the Video Credit box on your video’s Edit page (step 6). If you filmed it yourself, leave it blank.

  1. Name: enter the name or handle of the person or page who made the video.
  2. Link: paste the link to where you got the video, like the original TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or Facebook post.

Example:
Name: @theirhandle
Link: https://www.tiktok.com/@theirhandle/video/1234567890

Good to know: each file can be up to 2 GB, and you can upload one video at a time. Your first video upload is free with a free account. After that, add a video for $5 with Archive My Video, or upload more with a Starter, Standard or Pro pass. MP4 and MOV work best, and most other video formats are accepted too. Use Wi-Fi for big files.
04

Video credit

If someone else filmed or first posted your video, give them credit. It shows under the video when it’s published, so viewers know who made it and where to find the original.

Name

Who made the video, like @creator or their full name.

Original link

The link to where the video was first posted (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and so on).

Your own video?

Leave both boxes empty. Nothing extra shows.

  1. Open your menu, choose Settings, then go to Videos → All Videos and click Edit under the video (or open the video and tap the pencil button).
  2. Find the Video Credit box, right above Add Description.
  3. Type the Name and paste the Link to the original video.
  4. Click Update. Under your video it now says Originally posted by the name, with a Watch the original link.
Good to know: copy the link from the original post’s Share button. To change or remove the credit later, edit the boxes and click Update again.
05

Thumbnail Grabber

Make a thumbnail from any moment in your video. Open your menu and choose Thumbnail Grabber, or go to imsonc.com/thumbnail-grabber.

Stays on your device

Your video is never uploaded. It only opens in your browser and doesn’t use your pass storage.

Any size

Original size, 16:9 for videos, 9:16 for Shorts, or square. Save as JPG or PNG.

Deletes itself

As soon as you download your thumbnail, the video is removed from the page.

  1. Open your menu and click Thumbnail Grabber.
  2. Click Select video and pick a video from your phone or computer (or drag it onto the page).
  3. Slide to the moment you want. Use the 1s and Frame buttons to get it exactly right.
  4. Click Grab this frame. Grab as many as you like, then tap the one you want.
  5. Choose a Size and Format, then click Download thumbnail. It saves to your Downloads or Photos.
  6. Add it to your video: open the video’s Edit page (Settings → Videos → All Videos → Edit), click Upload under Featured Image, pick the picture, then click Update.
Good to know: MP4 videos work best. If a video won’t open, try saving it as an MP4 first. Changed your mind? Click Remove video without saving.
06

Manage your videos

Open your menu and choose Settings to get to your Dashboard, then use the Dashboard menu on the left.

Edit a video

In your Dashboard, go to Videos → All Videos and click Edit under the video (or open the video and tap the pencil button). Change the title, description, thumbnail, category or tags, then click Update.

Delete a video

In All Videos, click Trash under the video. Changed your mind? Open Trash at the top of the list and click Restore. Delete Permanently can’t be undone.

Collections

Group your videos into playlists, like a series or one event. Go to Dashboard → Collections to create one.

Comments

See what people are saying about your videos and reply in Dashboard → Comments.

07

Shorts

Shorts are quick vertical videos, like the ones on TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts. I’M SO NC sorts them for you: any video you upload that is filmed vertical and is 60 seconds or shorter becomes a Short automatically.

Vertical

Film with your phone standing up, not turned sideways.

60 seconds or less

Anything over 1 minute stays a regular video.

Automatic

Upload like normal. It moves into Shorts a few minutes after your video finishes processing.

  1. Film vertical and keep it 60 seconds or shorter.
  2. Upload it the normal way from Upload Video.
  3. Once it’s published, it shows in the Shorts tab on your channel, the Shorts row on the homepage and the Shorts page.
Good to know: if you edit a video and it no longer fits (longer than 60 seconds or not vertical), it moves back to regular videos on its own. Want a longer vertical video in Shorts? Add the tag Short when you upload or edit it.
08

Go live

Stream live to your I’M SO NC channel from your phone, laptop or desktop, right in your browser. No app needed. Going live is included with the Starter, Standard and Pro Archive Passes, with a monthly amount of live time, and your followers get an email when you go live.

Starter

2 hours of live a month. Up to 300 viewers.

Standard

8 hours of live a month. Up to 300 viewers.

Pro

30 hours of live a month. No viewer limit.

Live time resets on the day your payment is due and paid. Need more? Upgrade your Archive Pass.

Start a live

  1. Click your profile picture and choose ● Go Live, or tap the red Go Live button on your channel.
  2. Allow access to your camera and microphone when your browser asks.
  3. Type a title and pick your county.
  4. Tap Start Live. You’re live on your channel and in the Live Now row on the homepage.
  5. When you’re done, tap End Live, then Save video to keep a copy.

While you’re live

Flip camera: tap the arrow button to switch between your front and back camera.

Viewers and time: the top of your screen shows how long you’ve been live, how many people are watching and how much live time you have left.

Live chat: viewer messages show on your screen as Name: message while you’re live, and you’ll see Name joined the live each time a member joins. Type in the box at the bottom to reply. Viewers need to be logged in to join and chat.

Followers: your followers get an email automatically when you go live.

Your live time: see how much live time you have used and how much you have left in three places: on the Go Live screen before you start, at the top of your screen while you’re live, and on your channel page right under your Follow and Go Live buttons (only you can see it there). Every plan shows hours used and hours left. It all resets on the day your payment is due and paid.

When time runs out: your live ends by itself with a message. Your Go Live screen always shows what you have left before you start.

Full lives: if your live reaches your pass’s viewer limit, new viewers see “This live is full” and get in when a spot opens.

Where viewers watch: on your channel page, where they can chat with you live.

Keep the page open. Leaving the page or locking your phone ends your live.

Good to know: a copy of your live saves on your own phone or computer while you stream (you’ll see ● REC). When you end, tap Save video, then Upload to my channel so it stays in the archive. Keep at least 1 GB of free space for longer lives. Use Wi-Fi or a strong signal for the best picture. Going live works in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox.
